MAN v FAT | Marketing Website

Context

MAN v FAT hosted two marketing websites one, a weight loss content focused platform and the other used to advertise the MAN v FAT Football programme. This gave MAN v FAT two sources of traffic and in the interest of streamlining MAN v FAT's services and creating one avenue for sign ups this project aimed to combine the two websites. The focus was to seamlessly maintain MAN v FATs brand image as a men's weight loss brand while also advertising the football programme.

Worked alongside the marketing team to create content design, establish the most affective information architecture and create an SEO friendly site. I lead the design and delivery of the website, working alongside our WordPress developer.

1-2-1 User Research

To kick off the project I interviewed 5 MAN v FAT Football players to get an understanding of how they use the two websites. Players noted that with the launch of the MAN v FAT Members portal (The Dugout) they seldom used the content website, as they were able to access content in the portal.

The research for this project was recorded and analysed using the software Dovetail, however for the purpose of this portfolio here is a summary with some key themes:

The Final Designs

With the collated data from the user research myself and the Product Owner took to prioritising features from the two MAN v FAT Websites and seeing where they could be combined into one central source of information for MAN v FAT Players and prospective sign ups.

The focus of the website was shifted from being a purely content focused platform, as this was now available for users in The Dugout (members portal) and instead better advertising MAN v FAT’s Football programme while still maintaining its branding as a men's weight loss group.
